First Worship Service held in Madeira Beach City Hall

About Us

CrossBridge Church was born out of the heart and vision of a group of dedicated Christ followers who believed that there
was a crucial need for a church that will exalt Jesus Christ in these beloved beach communities and beyond.

In late October 2012, Pastor Rick was approached by this group with a request to lead them to fulfill this lofty purpose that they pursued so passionately.  After much prayer for direction, at 5:00 p.m. on November 4, 2012, Light of Christ Community Church conducted
its very first worship service in the Madeira Beach City Hall conference room.  We continued to meet at this location at 5:00 p.m.
for two months.  On January 13, 2013, we changed our service time to Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m.

On February 1, 2013, Light of Christ Community Church officially changed its name to CrossBridge Church, to reflect the heart
of a congregation passionate about using every tool available to reach our community.  The tag line for CrossBridge Church
reflects this desire: "A Bridge to New Life in Christ."

On March 10, 2013, the Leadership Team signed a lease to obtain the property at  50 - 153rd Avenue, Madeira Beach, FL.
Following a volunteer driven building project, we held our first service in the new facility November 3, 2013.

From the very beginning CrossBridge Church has existed for six supreme purposes.  These form the foundation for the
Vision of the Church:

  • We are committed to dynamic, contemporary, relevant Worship
  • We are committed to passionate, relentless Prayer
  • We are committed to an "Outward Focused" Ministry both locally, stateside, and abroad
  • We are committed to being "Community Engaged"
  • We are committed to focus on the whole Family (Adults, Parents, Teens, & Children)
  • We are committed to Small Group Ministry (Life-Groups)

With the Words of Habakkuk 2:3 & Philippians 3:15 always ringing  in our hearts: "For the Revelation awaits an appointed time. It speaks of the end and will certainly come and will not delay,"
"We press on to take hold of the prize." The goal is before us and with each new day we press closer to becoming what our God has called us to be and do.

We welcome the partnership of those who share our Christian vision for Madeira Beach and our extended beach communities.
