Administrative Pastor - Sandra Turner
Sandra Turner was born and raised in East Northport, New York. She accepted Christ as a child during a Kid’s Crusade presented by Willard & Margaret Grant, who left their own children in the care of family for much of the year to travel the United States and bring the salvation message to children. It was soon after that she felt called to vocational ministry, but hit dead ends time after time.
After high school, Sandra attended Fordham University & SUNY Stony Brook leaving just shy of completion of her degree to attend Word of Life Bible Institute in Schroon Lake, NY. After Bible school, secular employment positions took her from Long Island to Manhattan, Philadelphia and Boston before she moved to Clearwater Florida over 20 years ago.

She was invited to (then) Pinellas Park Wesleyan Church for a Christmas production, and found a home church there. Sandra came to know Pastor Rick at that church and became his Ministry Assistant. It was through the encouragement of Pastor Rick that Sandra began studies toward ordination in the Wesleyan Church. She has since graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education, been granted ordination by the Wesleyan Church, completed the course work, and has received her Masters Degree in Christian Counseling & Leadership, starting work on her Ph.D. through Georgetown Wesleyan University.
Immediately following her ordination, Sandra held the position of Assistant Pastor at Park Place Wesleyan Church, where she lead the senior adult ministry; prison ministry; compassion ministries such as overseeing the food pantry (which her husband Tom directed), and bikes for homeless; monthly church service at a local nursing home; and first impression ministries (ushers, greeters, parking lot attendants, hospitality, welcome center, and first time guest visitation).
Sandra and Tom have been attending CrossBridge since November of 2012. She currently serves as our Administrative Pastor and is our Director of Missions.
It was at Central Church of the Nazarene that two defining events occurred. One, he met and married Leslie Crisco and two, was allowed to lead this largely white congregation located in predominantly Hispanic community to transition to a totally Hispanic congregation. When asked to identify the high points in his life and ministry Pastor Rick enthusiastically points to these two events.
He is married to Leslie Joyce Cowley and together they have three children. Dacia Kaser, Matthew Cowley, and Bryan Cain, along with four wonderful grandchildren. Pastor Rick is a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University with a B.A. Degree in Theology, attended Asbury Seminary and was Ordained in June, 1977 in The Wesleyan Church. In April 2011 those Ordination credentials were transferred to The Church of the Nazarene. He is currently "on loan" to CrossBridge Church, a non-denominational church.
Senior Pastor - Rick Cowley
Richard (Rick) Cowley is the founding pastor of CrossBridge Church. When a group of passionate Christ followers approached Pastor Rick in October 2012 and asked him to consider planting a new church in Madeira Beach he joyfully accepted the challenge , believing that this was the will and purpose of God.
Prior to founding CrossBridge Church Pastor Rick served as Senior Pastor at Oakland Hill Wesleyan Church (1975-1979) in Lafayette, IN, Largo Wesleyan Church (1979-1989) Largo, FL, Park Place Wesleyan (first as a Staff Pastor then Senior Pastor 1989-2002) Pinellas Park, FL, and Sedona Christ Center Wesleyan Church (2002-2007), Sedona, AZ. After a season of personal tragedy changed his life and ministry, Pastor Rick returned to Florida to pastor Central Church of the Nazarene (2009-2011), Clearwater, FL.
